Celebrating the Legacy of Duke Ellington
A Joyful 15th Annual Celebration at Duke Ellington Circle!

Directed by Mercedes Ellington, Duke Ellington’s granddaughter, and Tony Waag, the celebration featured the Duke Ellington Center Big Band, under the musical direction of Eli Yamin, and Special Guest Artist Catherine Russell, Grammy Award–winning vocalist.

The program also featured Michael Choi, Marion Cowings, Karen Callaway Williams, Sharon K. Janda, AC Lincoln, Mark Mindek, Antoinette Montague, Ema Nohalova, Max Pollak, and Ty Stephens.

For 15 years, Duke Ellington Circle has been a living stage for Duke’s music, bringing together artists, dancers, musicians, and community members to celebrate his legacy.
